Did you know Smallville was briefly at the Emmys last night? It’s true! In the genre montage of Drama, Smallville’s final parting shot was shown as one of the highlights of the year. You can view the full montage above, and the Smallville quick clip is at 1:07.

The Robin Hood Foundation is an organization whose mission is to fight poverty in New York City.

Through the years Robin Hood has received many heartfelt letters sent by the families of 9/11 victims.

"Every single family who lost someone on 9/11 received a check for $5,000 just in time for the holidays, without having to fill out an application for assistance. In some cases, the Robin Hood checks were the first funds the families received. Within days, their poignant thank you letters started arriving at Robin Hood. These thank you notes were addressed to Robin Hood 10 years ago, but the gratitude they express is meant for you and all of Robin Hood’s supporters. It’s an honor to share them with you now.

Listen to one read by Smallville’s Actor Tom Welling.

What else is around the corner? Chad Ochocinco, the return of Denise Richards, d**k pics, strip clubs, and all the outrageous humor that made us fall in love with BMS in the first place.

Here’s a nostalgic flashback for you: someone in Plano, Il snapped this set photo from the Man Of Steel set. Smallville Spartans!?
Taken from Comic Book Movie, they have a very VERY long page of spoilers that detail Smallville in the heat of an ensuing battle. Buildings torn, a 7/11 blown up, and…a Smallville ‘Sears’ store? It’s just a bunch of crazy set photos that you have to go check out, at the link above.

FOX Gives ‘Breaking In’ A Second Season!

We reported a week or two ago that FOX’s mid-season comedy block had fallen apart due to the network nixing one program called ‘Family Album’. Breaking In, starring Smallville alum Michael Rosenbaum, had been cancelled in May, but there was still a thin line for the show, because FOX had kept the actors under contract until November.

Now, Deadline is reporting that the show has been granted a 13 episode second season and will be placed where ‘Family Album’ once was. In other words: Breaking In has beat the reaper!

The season will air sometime early 2012, and as far as we know, all of the cast is set to return. The article states that the deal is still being finalized, but is extremely close to an announcement.

We are very happy for Michael, and the entire ‘Breaking In’ cast! Congratulations! We’ll be watching :)

MAJOR SPOILERS: Scene and Leaked Photos for ‘Man of Steel’ Revealed

Many people were livid, disgusted, and angry at the synopsis we posted for ‘Man of Steel’ this morning. The synopsis came via a casting call sheet, and other are arguing that this isn’t the official synopsis. However, practically every website on the internet is reporting it as “official”. So, as of right now, let’s consider it just that.

The biggest concern everyone is having apparently is that the synopsis points to practically a rehash of ‘Smallville’ all over again, and being an origin story to which everyone already knows the origin. Well, people claiming the Smallville side of things…we have evidence that may just backup your beliefs.

*MAJOR MAJOR MAJOR SPOILERS BELOW CONCERNING THE FILM. READ AHEAD AT YOUR OWN CAUTION!!! MAJOR PLOT POINTS REVEALED BELOW!*

CBM is reporting on an alleged scoop during the rural filming that has happened so far. All that’s been shot so far has been scenes set in Smallville. Now, the scoop that CBM has from “Mike of Steel” :

"I talked to a friend of mine who was a ‘featured extra’ (which is apparently different than a regular extra) in the ‘Man of Steel’ filming down in bufu Illinois. He told me the scene he filmed, over a two day period, involves citizens running away from a tornado. Jonathan Kent is apparently swept up in the tornado and Superman has to fly up and save him."

Now, for all you Smallville-fans out there, obviously this sounds like the Season One Finale/Season Two Premiere where Clark saves Lana from the tornado. Furthermore, this reveals how Jonathan Kent (Kevin Costner) will be torn from Clark’s life. How we are sure of this is the fact that these leaked photos reveal his fate:

The accompanying headstone is Clark’s uncle “Henry Kent”.

Let’s keep in mind now: we haven’t yet moved on to the Metropolis filming yet. There’s still no sights of Daily Planet set pieces, the coming of Zod, and everything else that will be in the film confirmed via the WB press release two weeks ago.

So, Superman and Smallville fans, we want to know: what’s your view of ‘Man of Steel’ so far? Is it simply Smallville all over again, or are you trying to keep as much of an open mind as possible?

Official Synopsis Released for ‘Man of Steel’

Despite the release date being practically two years from now, Warner Bros. has decided to release the official synopsis for the upcoming Superman film ‘Man of Steel’ (via a Canadian casting call). The film, starring Henry Cavill, Amy Adams, Kevin Costner, Laurence Fishburne, Russell Crowe, and many more, is set to soar into theaters June 2013.

"In the pantheon of superheroes, Superman is the most recognized and revered character of all time. Clark Kent/Kal-El (Cavill) is a young twentysomething journalist who feels alienated by powers beyond anyone’s imagination. Transported to Earth years ago from Krypton, an advanced alien planet, Clark struggles with the ultimate question - Why am I here? Shaped by the values of his adoptive parents Martha (Lane) and Johnathan Kent (Costner), Clark soon discovers that having super abilities means making very difficult decisions. But when the world needs stability the most, it comes under attack. Will his abilities be used to maintain peace or ultimately used to divide and conquer? Clark must become the hero known as "Superman," not only to shine as the world’s last beacon of hope but to protect the ones he loves."

What do you think? Does the synopsis sound absolutely appealing to you, or now are you approaching the film with extreme caution? Like-Smallville, or not? Let us know either in teh comments below, or tweet us @DuranceMagazine on Twitter!
